Eric Almgren supports high-technology clients in corporate development, strategic partnerships, cross-border transactions, and business launch/growth strategy, helping companies navigate growth from innovation to scale. He has built and led technology businesses across the semiconductor, wireless, and advanced manufacturing ecosystems, combining deep technical insight with executive experience in strategy and dealmaking.

Eric began his career designing microprocessor chips at Hewlett-Packard, then joined LSI Logic (now Broadcom), where he oversaw marketing and sales of integrated circuits and helped establish CoreWare, working with industry leaders including future NVIDIA co-founder Jensen Huang. He later co-founded Silicon Image, Inc., a pioneer in high-speed serial circuits and HDMI technology, and led the HDMI licensing business that became one of the semiconductor industry’s most successful programs. As CEO and Chair of Keyssa, Inc., he drove innovations in high-speed wireless connectors for global technology brands including Samsung, Google, and Foxconn.

He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Galane Chen leads cross-border initiatives focused on advanced manufacturing, semiconductor investment, and technology partnerships between the United States and Asia. He has built a career spanning more than four decades at the intersection of technology innovation, manufacturing, and strategic investment, guiding emerging technologies from R&D to global deployment.

Dr. Chen spent over twenty years at Foxconn Technology Group as Chief Technology Officer and Chief Investment Officer, directing global R&D, product development, and investments in semiconductors, optics, robotics, AI, and medical systems. Earlier, he founded an optical communication company that was acquired by Foxconn and became Foxconn Optical Technology, a key business in optical communications and photonics. His career also includes leadership roles at Seagate Technology, Hitachi Metal Technology, and Varian.

He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from National Taiwan University and a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, and is the inventor on more than 2,000 granted patents worldwide.

Brad brings over twenty years of experience as a business builder, investor, and corporate strategist, combining leadership across Big 5 consulting, private equity, and high-technology ventures. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he has co-founded and led multiple companies in cybersecurity, AI, and space systems, and has held senior roles advancing innovation at the intersection of national security and emerging technology.

He currently serves as Senior Managing Director for Emerging Technology & Manufacturing at TerraNova Capital Partners and as a Board Member of the Texas Space Commission.

Brad holds a B.S. in Business Management from the United States Air Force Academy, an M.S. in Telecommunications from Southern Methodist University, and FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, and 79 licenses.

Thomas Lorenz serves as a strategic affiliate focused on business launch, corporate strategy, and growth planning, drawing on his deep background in corporate development, M&A execution, and strategic transformation within the global technology industry. He helps companies define actionable strategies for expansion, investment, and long-term value creation.

Thomas brings over 25 years of leadership experience in the semiconductor and technology sectors, including 23 years at Cirrus Logic, where he rose to lead Corporate Development and Strategy, reporting directly to the CEO and serving on the executive leadership team. During his tenure, he helped scale Cirrus Logic’s revenue from $160 million to $1.8 billion annually and led more than a dozen M&A transactions totaling over $1 billion, including deals with publicly traded companies. He also advises private equity and venture capital firms and serves as an Adjunct Professor at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas.

Thomas holds a Diplom Betriebswirt (FH) from the University of Applied Sciences Munich, an MBA from the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University, and has completed executive education programs at Stanford University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Allan Ashmead serves as a strategic affiliate focused on product strategy, operational scaling, and technology commercialization across the laser, photonics, and advanced manufacturing industries. He works with clients to align product innovation with market opportunity, optimize business performance, and guide technologies from concept to global production.

Allan brings over 30 years of executive experience in the high-technology sector, combining expertise in R&D, general management, and international sales and marketing. Over his 20-year career at Coherent Corp., he rose to Senior Vice President of Microelectronics North America, overseeing multiple business units generating more than $250 million in annual revenue. He successfully led product introductions, global partnerships, and cross-functional integration that expanded market share and accelerated revenue growth. Earlier roles at JDSU, Iolon, and DigiLens further cemented his leadership in photonics, optical communications, and precision laser systems.

Allan holds a B.Sc. in Applied Physics from the University of Strathclyde and an M.Sc. in Laser Physics from Heriot-Watt University.

For both corporate and non-profit businesses, Laurie helps institutions capitalize on their market differentiators to strengthen customer loyalty as well as to continuously delight new customers.

Laurie has held senior leadership roles in marketing and outbound communications at start-ups and Fortune 200 companies, including HDMI, SanDisk, NVIDIA, and Western Digital. At WDC, she and her team successfully re-imagined the WD_Black® brand, transforming into the WDC’s premier gaming storage product line. During her tenure at HDMI, Laurie helped build the HDMI brand to today’s de-facto connectivity standard and earned a Technical EMMY® for the standard’s impact on the television industry. She is also focused on the intersection between for-profit and non-profits as a way of extending capacity for both the institutions and the customers they serve.

Laurie holds a BA from Stanford University and an MA from Johns Hopkins University and serves as a Board Member of the Youth Arts Collective (YAC) of Monterey, CA.
